Sports Photographics Australia chief photographer is currently in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
During the next 3 weeks we will be updating photos on our website and introducing a new portfolio website where there will be loads of great Winter Olympic images to scroll through and look at.
We will also be updating our news / blog area of what happens behind the scenes that you may not know or see, and this will be updated every few days or when we get a chance. We hope you enjoy the read.

Photo left is Long Track Speed Skater Sophie Muir during a training run at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Sophie has switched from inline skating to speed skating on the ice and has been a standout improver since she changed.

28.12.08 Sydney to Hobart 2008


Wild Oats X1 wins 4th consecutive line honours in Sydney to Hobart after an epic battle of the Tasman Sea with arch rival maxi Skandia. Both yachts were locked in a match race to the end as they steamed down the south coast of NSW on boxing day evening and into Bass Straight on Saturday 27th. In the end it was the Bob Oatley owned 30m maxi who prevailed finishing with an elapsed time of 1 day 20 hours 34 minutes and 14 seconds.
Skandia had surprised with its boat speed to keep up with the highly fancied Wild Oats, and it was not until the winds died late on the Saturday evening that her valiant effort was thwarted with Wild Oats extending a comfortable winning margin.

29.11.08 Rugby League Players Awards


RLPA Awards Night


Rugby League Players finished off their season with the RLPA awards night in Sydney Saturday 29th November where Melbourne Storm and Australian fullback Billy Slater won the prestigious Golden Boot award as the worlds best player.

05.08.08 Skiing Epic At Thredbo 2008



Snow lovers have been spoiled with some sensational weekly storms that have deleivered huge amounts of snow in 2008 so far. Besides some great powder days and deep snow, the snow has stayed in excellent condition and has been great top to bottom skiing at Australias Thredbo resort. With more snow on the way this coming weekend, the season is set to be great right up until the end of September.
